With the exception of a weekend trip Far made to Småland in Sweden on his moped during the war, they have lived together all their lives. Suddenly one day the phone rings. A Swedish voice says that Konrad, Far's son dating from his moped trip to Småland, has to come and stay with them for a while. Konrad's mother is seriously ill. Bent Hamer was born in 1956, and studied film, literature and general arts at Stockholms Filmskola. Before he made his feature debut with Eggs he directed eight shorts and one documentary. Since then he has made three other features; Kitchen Stories, Factotum and O'Horten - the latter was released in december 2007. O'Horten have not had it's international premiere yet, but all his other films, including Eggs, have had their international premiere at the Directors' Fortnight in Cannes. NFI/red.
