Artist in Residence Tijs Ham (NL) in collaboration with Birk Nygaard presents their latest collaboration in a project featuring laser patterns and sonic feedback
Tijs Ham ('81) is a soundartist from the Netherlands. Next to his work for STEIM (The Studio for electro- Instrumental Music) he has an artistic practice that focusses on the musical expression of chaotic processes. After several residencies at BEK and many other institutions, Tijs will spend the first three months of 2017 working on a new project 'Refract / Recurse', collaborating with the visual artist Birk Nygaard.
The new piece will merge laser patterns and sonic feedback into an engaging abstract narrative told by shifting timbres of light and noise.
