Misfits byr på en slående og virkningsfull mix av horrorpunk, rock, og alskens visuelle triks fra skrekkfilmer i B-klassen; vampyrer, aliens, Frankenstein, dauinger, blod, knokler og kors osv.
Tredve års lojal hengivenhet till sjangeren har gitt Misfits legendestatus. Når Metallica har T-skjorter med Misfits-motiv på seg på scenen, ja da er statusen spikret. Utallige band har latt seg inspirere av Misfits - Green Day, Rancid, Blink 182, Metallica, Pantera,Slayer, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Guns n Roses og My Chemical Romance er bare noen.

Som de selv sier: "Our goal is simple, to be the best. In resurrecting this band I risked all that I'd done in the past and I dared to challenge a legacy born in my youth. Today I am stronger, smarter and faster than I have ever been. We plan to continue as always, eclipse the past, block the sun and drag humanity by the throat into a world of darkness filled with ghouls, goblins and creatures of the night, where we are king."
