WORKSHOP
Imagination, focus, coordination - those tree words are the pillars for the base of Natasa's contemporary dance workshop. Using the fragments of her works, encouraging the dancers to search for their own individuality (story) within the given boundaries. As much physical discipline as freedom, music, heart beat, thought.
Nataša Novotná
Having graduated at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava, the Czech Republic, she won and audition to become a member of Jiří Kylián's Nederlands Dans Theater 2. She later spent two enriching seasons at the Göteborgs Operan Ballet in Sweden to return to the Netherlands and join the Nederlands Dans Theater 1. This work experience allowed her to collaborate with leading choreographers and personalities from diverse fields of arts. A few years later, having turned free-lancer and returning to her home country, she has founded her own contemporary dance company 420PEOPLE with a former colleague from the NDT, Václav Kuneš. Among her important awards are the Young Talent Prize – a nomination from the magazine Dance Europe, a prestigious Czech Award Thálie and the title Dancer of the Year awarded at the Czech Dance Platform 2009. She is an active dance lecturer, occasionally also as a choreographer and assistant choreographer. She is involved in the professional organization Vize tance.
Tsjekk it out - tre dager med tsjekkisk dans og teater i Bergen, 12.-14. november
BIT Teatergarasjen i Bergen har sammen med den internasjonale scenekunstfestivalen 4+4 Days in Motion (CZ), skapt et felles prosjekt som handler om fremvisning og utveksling av scenekunst mellom Norge og Tsjekkia. Platformene for dette prosjektet er minifestivalene Norway Artway i Praha og Tsjekk it out i Bergen.
Norway Artway ble arrangert 3.-9. oktober i 2015, med de norske kunstnerene og kompaniene Spreafico/Eckly, Kristin Ryg Helgebostad, Mette Edvardsen, Amund Sjølie Sveen og Ingri Fiksdal på programmet
I november 2015 inviterer BIT Teatergarasjen bergenspublikummet til et møte med tsjekkisk scenekunst på USF Verftet. Og i festivalnavnet ligger den tydelige oppfordringen. Kom! Tsjekk it out!
