Borealis Overtid no. 5: Will Handysides & Alwynne Pritchard

For the last Overtid before Borealis Festival (March 19-23 - www.borealisfestival.no), the composer Will Handysides will give a talk about his latest projects, his influences and the processes he uses when writing a piece. He will also present us the short movie “The Man with No Face”, by Flavio Cury – for which he composed the music. Join us in the Borealis’office for a glass of wine and some good discussions!

Alwynne Pritchard, Artistic Director of Borealis, will also talk at this event. She will introduce this year's exciting programme and tell us what Borealis is all about.

Will Handysides is a composer, currently living in Bergen, Norway. Before coming to study with Morten Eide Pedersen at the Griegakademiet he studied for two years with Errollyn Wallen MBE and Gwyn Pritchard at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where he will resume studies in 2014. In 2012 he received a scholarship to study with Detlev Glanert at Dartington International Summer School on the Advanced Composition Course thanks to the Michael Tippett Foundation. Will is currently working on music for Bit20 Ensemble and SFMK (Norwegian Military Band).
